My sixteen-year-old entrepreneurial self started a lawn mowing company with a friend. We had about fifteen customers and we would make the rounds every week. I noticed that a particular aspect of having a “business” had the same pattern as a mechanical system. That particular part is the Production Process. Mowing lawns is pretty boring, so I spent most of my time imagining how the system worked.
You know… just for fun.
This was the first step in my ongoing endeavor to represent the Production Process in a business system as an energy and information system.
